About Me
Scottish Relationship Expert, Certified Coach
Published Author, Speaker, Mentor
Born in Wales and raised amidst the rugged beauty of Scotland, my journey has always been one of service, discovery, and reflection. From an early age, I felt drawn to helping others — a calling that led me to train in advanced first aid and serve on an ocean rescue team abroad. Upon returning to the UK, I continued that path by joining Strathclyde Police in Scotland, driven by a desire to protect, support, and contribute to my community.
In 2008, I fulfilled a lifelong dream by joining a British expedition to climb Mount Everest, raising over £300,000 for the British Heart Foundation. The climb was deeply personal — a tribute to my mother, who passed away in 2001 at the tender age of forty-four from a heart condition. The Himalayas became more than a mountain to conquer; they became a mirror to my soul. Amidst the silence and vastness of those peaks, I came face to face with my own grief and realised that much of my inner struggle stemmed from losing her so suddenly at twenty-one.
That moment of clarity changed everything. I made a promise to devote my life to helping others who, like me, had been torn apart by life’s storms yet longed to find healing and purpose again.
The true turning point came when I began to study my faith more deeply and explore life’s spiritual dimension — the questions of meaning, purpose, and service that lie at the heart of every human story. This journey opened my eyes to the power of reflection, compassion, and connection in transforming pain into growth.
My curiosity about the human condition led me into the study of psychology and personal development. I attended seminars and immersed myself in the teachings of some of the great voices of our time — Les Brown, Muhammad Alshareef, Brendon Burchard, Kerwin Rae, Simon Sinek, and Tony Robbins. Their insights, combined with my own life experiences, inspired me to embark on one of my most defining projects: the Life Lessons™ series.
Through my growing social media presence, I penned my first written piece of work, 7 Life Lessons: Overcoming Your Past Self. The heartfelt response it received from readers around the world ignited a deeper passion for writing, leading to my first published book, 7 Life Lessons on the Myths of Marriage.
Most recently, I published my second book, Beyond the Surface, which spans forty-five chapters dedicated to navigating challenges and finding fulfilment in modern Muslim marriages. This work represents years of research, reflection, and heartfelt conversations with couples striving to build love that endures — spiritually, emotionally, and practically.
Over time, my work naturally evolved into the fields of relationships and life coaching — areas where I could merge emotional understanding with practical guidance. Today, I dedicate my time to helping individuals, couples, and families rebuild trust, heal wounds, and create lasting emotional and spiritual harmony. Whether it’s guiding someone before marriage, supporting them through conflict, or helping them rediscover themselves after heartbreak, my purpose remains the same: to help people reconnect with what is real and sacred within themselves.
I now reside in the United States with my wife, Yasmin Mogahed, and our children. Much of my inspiration comes from her — a woman of deep purpose and compassion, who has devoted her own life to serving God by serving humanity. Together, we continue to strive towards a life built on faith, meaning, and service.
